BIG NEWS: Bob Power, the engineering and production legend behind all of the Tribe Called Quest releases, Me’shell, D’angelo, The Roots, Badu.. just to name a few..ahem.. IS MIXING ‘LOVE IS THE HERO’ for Martin Luther’s upcoming release. With the production and
writing genius team of Martin and PB Arceneaux as well as other musical contributors like Kev Choice and Paisley Hinton, Bob Power puts the final shine on what we anticipate to be Martin’s personal best work to date. SUMMER 2010 is when you can expect to get your hands on your own copy as we are pushing for a Mid June Digi pre release because you, the fans, have demanded it.
MARTIN LUTHER has been asked by the San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom’s Art Commission to pay a tribute to the Legend Carlos Santana via performance, on March 18th, 2010 at a private engagement. Being a long time fan of Mr. Santana’s music and legacy, Martin has graciously accepted this opportunity and will feature Gabrielle Walter-Clay & Mission Cultural Center’s Futuro Picante as they perform ”Somebody Superstar”.
MARTIN LUTHER performs on the Mo’Nique Show (BET) on May 6th so stay tuned to find out when his performance will be broadcast.

First thing is to turn the music off. We can easily become consumed with the fire. The desire to go beyond ourselves is extreme inside of us ”artists”. However, the danger comes from the same source. The flame of passion is all consuming. Everything gets burned. The beauty in the fire is that it purifies all things leaving nothing impure. It leaves no additive, only the shining pure gold can withstand the flame. It’s time to turn the flames off and let the pure gold cool so that it can be shaped and polished for all to see and taste what the heat of the flame has brought to life. U always have a source of inspiration but you have to also know when to say when.
You don’t have to write one single line until it is time to write the first word. One will lead to one thousand when the gold has had time to cool. You don’t want to melt your talent by standing too close to the flame. You don’t want to rush to shape or fashion the precious metal. You only want to honor it. You only want it’s truth to resonate every time you look at it. Offering you line after precious line.
The weight of your new relationship is daunting because you have accepted reasons to be fearful and doubtful. Think about the look that your children give their mother who has risen to the challenge to raise Men, among a society who loves to kill the spirit of little fatherless boys, turning them into monsters who support the system of abandonment, irresponsibility and all forms of recklessness. They don’t see you as fearful. They have a leader. The readers of your lines are your children. Not because you have to teach your readers about life, but because you live a real life of fearless example in which they gain confidence by you sharing your obstacles, your fears and your triumphs. Sharing your truths ultimately.
The Publisher believes. That is all you could ask for. I am thankful that you believe in me and are willing to make a commitment towards helping me to share my gifts to a broader slice of the world. If you never reached out, I would still have to live. I would still have to push forward. Make plans. Reach for the moon and if I failed I would still fall amongst the stars. Our destiny is written. The path to the abundance is not easy but it is not difficult either. It simply requires a purifying of negativity by the flame. It requires focus and dedication. How many times have you read something and thought..”I could have written that had I taken the time to develop those thoughts…” Or ” If I would have written that, I would have done this to it or that to it..” Well, now you have the time and the opportunity and you, just like they, have to take the time necessary to go inside and observe the Gold that lives in your heart. No longer looking at the gold in another’s. You are here at this very moment because you always thought you were supposed to be here. So what will you do. Wallow around in fear of yourself? Then you might as well die. No one will remember. No one will seek you out to reaffirm a lack of confidence. No one will care to read one line. But as soon as you decide to reveal the truth about your fear or the reason you allowed yourself to be consumed by the desires of your heart, everyone will hang on the edge of every word. The truth is the gold. Access your truth by turning off the music and seeking to know the rhythm that lives within.

Hello friends and family. I want to take this moment to thank you for stopping by and to let you know that we at REBEL SOUL RECORDS, LLC are working hard as we prepare to start this new decade off with exciting new releases from me, Martin Luther as well as a hand full of special projects that we hope you will soon become fast fans of.
We have all endured a long and tedious journey to get to this point and since life, for most of us, ain’t been no crystal stair, (as my mother likes to say) my goal is to make you feel as welcome as a cold glass of southern sweet tea on an Arizona summer’s night.
